Building the future at Casa Lumina
** Please note - First $500 down payment is due by January 10th **

- A 7-day working trip to Romania during which you will help to build two family-sized homes at Casa Lumina.

- We welcome both skilled and unskilled volunteers who will be fully supervised and receive any necessary training on site. The work may involve mixing concrete, laying blocks, carpentry, painting, gardening, or general laboring.

- The Hard Hat Challenge offers you the opportunity to make a real difference with your own hands by raising $2,600* in sponsorship to join the team during the summer of 2009. (*$1000 to cover the direct costs of your involvement and $1600 towards the construction costs)

- Our promise to you is that you will return to the UK exhausted, inspired and uplifted.

Radu: 1998 and 2008
 Radu has learning difficulties and is one of the most memorable characters you will meet at Casa Lumina. Radu has his own hard hat and knows how to use a screwdriver but he is far better at demolition than construction! He needs your help and is looking forward to welcoming the Hard Hat Challenge team to Casa Lumina in 2009.
